i finally saw julian hee on x-files today! my my, it's so saddenin to see this muscled muffin portrayin a retarded but sad character. nevertheless, im so engrossed in that show and i feel that he really got the potential for actin. he's more than a pretty face k! im so so so happy because this shows that he's not an empty himbo!! bwahahaha :D

anyway, sometimes i feel that mediacorp is harpin too much on people with has a lower iq, or what we usually call, retards or those diagnosed with down-syndrome. this is such a sensitive topic. sometimes we laugh, sneer, or over sympathise the unfortunate, but i cant help thinkin that, how would their family feel if they watched the show? their family member sufferin from this unlucky fate is portrayed as a pathetic character in a story. their life is so much more magnified, and more unwanted attention would be placed on them.

anyway, what i feel is i dont think these people need sympathy. much care and concern is very much needed, perhaps not sympathy. but there is a line to draw between the two. of course, i have been much fortunate bein a ordinary human bein, but i always think that too much sympathy shown is always a burden. it constantly reminds them (unfortunate) they are abnormal, contradicted by the fact that all they want is to be looked upon as a normal person. i personally feel that we should treat them as normal beins. stop sympathisin them, i believe besides their inability, they can do what every normal person can.

baaaaaaaaah. i think im gettin carried away. i just want to get this straight and i dont know how to organise my points. anyway, you get the idea ((:
